Instruction

Bozeman Ukulele Cabaret does not offer an ongoing ukulele instruction program.

But here is what we do offer:

FREE BEGINNER CLASS: From time to time, Bozeman Ukulele Cabaret offers free community beginner classes and beginner followup lessons (often at the public library). If you are interested in a first-time beginner class, please get in touch via the contact form below and ask to be added to the beginner mailing list. We’ll contact you when the next free workshop comes around.

GROUP WORKSHOPS: Ukulele instigator Marla Goodman offers a first-time beginner ukulele crash course for groups, families, parties, business team-building activities, etc. Loaner ukuleles are provided. Workshop length is 1 to 3 hours depending on your interests. Group size is limited to 24. (All ages, 8 and up.) Please contact Marla via the contact form for details.

PRIVATE LESSONS: We do not offer ongoing private lessons, but if your schedule prevents you from attending a free community class, individualized beginner “jumpstart” classes are available for a nominal fee. Please contact Marla Goodman via the contact form.

EVENTS: community events are geared to all experience levels, so check out the event page for opportunities to meet ukulele buddies and brush up on your playing skills.

Other recommendations:

ONGOING INSTRUCTION: For ongoing ukulele instruction, che k with Music Villa.

SELF INSTRUCTION: There are lots of great sources, but one of the best free resources we’ve found is Jim D’Ville’s program at playukulelebyear.com

Another excellent and free beginner resource is Jame’s Hill’s Booster Uke Series.
