Volunteers get their ukes out

It’s been a busy summer! So far in 2016, we’ve provided free lessons to start the following folks on the road to ukulele glory (AKA ruin):

  • 35 4-H teenagers
  • 20 Montessori Students
  • 100 Boy Scouts
  • 20 Senior Citizens
  • 50 Community Members

And, putting their ukulele powers to good use, our awesome group of volunteers visited the Gallatin Rest Home twice a month and brought ukulele fun to these community events. Thanks to all of our teaching and uke-playing volunteers (those mentioned below and unsung heroes alike), not to mention our tireless technical support/roadie/photographer/helper (David).

Senior Center Luau, Aug 2016 – Thanks Vicki, Chan, Susan, Mark G, Mark S, Dennis and Camille!

Ukulele beginners: We’re offering a new opportunity to get our your uke!

Join us downstairs in the Bozeman Senior Center Rec Room for three casual beginner level ukulele play-along sessions, 10 a.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 26 (except Oct. 12 – No group that day!). Play along on easy songs, ask questions and build playing skills. Music sheets provided. Free and open to the public. BYO-Uke if you have one! Loaner ukuleles available while they last. To reserve a loaner or for more info, get in touch with the Bozeman Ukulele Cabaret via the contact form on the ABOUT page.

If you’d like to volunteer to lead a beginner group–either regularly or occasionally–please contact Marla at the Ukulele Cabaret!)
